Crisis Pregnancy Services

In most cases, infants that can't or won't be taken care of by their parents will be put through the foster care system and eventually be placed for adoption. However, there are numerous service loopholes and gaps in reach. As such, there are cases of parents not being aware of where to turn for assistance and resort to abandoning their children at hospitals, or worse yet: in unsafe places.

The Crisis Pregnancy Services exist to provide 1) options and long-term assistance for the parents, so they can make an informed decision about their child's well-being and future, and 2) a safe refuge to the infants. While the child is placed -for free!- in the safe arms of our screened volunteer families, the parents can be helped with counselling, financial assistance and coaching.

Please note that all our volunteer families are screened by the MCYS Foster Care Division (which includes medical professionals, family educators, professionals and MCYS certified foster parents) and are trained in basic infant care, first aid for infants and crisis procedures.
